Established in 2014, the W Booth Leadership Excellence awards are given to high quality students entering full time graduate degree studies in the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, McMaster University. This award is available to Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents.Eligible applicants must hold a minimum 'B' average in the final year of study of a pre-requisite undergraduate degree program.


Twenty (20) scholarships at a value of $6,000 each for up to 20 qualified students entering:
  • Master of Engineering Design
  • Master of Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Master of Engineering and Public Policy

All award applicants must complete and submit a scholarship application form after the School of Graduate Studies online application process has been completed. You may apply for admission to Graduate Studies Programs on the Mosaic ONLINE APPLICATION.

Award Criteria:

Established in 2014, the W Booth Leadership Excellence awards are given to high quality students entering full time graduate degree studies in the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, McMaster University. The scholarship will be awarded based on:

  • Demonstrated leadership capability through extracurricular activities, community contribution and/or previous employment
  • Two (2) letters of reference from individuals who know the applicant in context of the activities above
  • Short essay statement detailing applicant's leadership experience, personal goals, and professional aspirations as an innovative leader (See application form)


Eligibility:
  • Entering full time studies at the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology
  • "B" or higher standing in last undergraduate year
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Registered as a full time student for the academic year of program start
